Wills, Estate Planning,

 Probate & Administration

After your loved one’s death, his or her Estate will need to be settled in Court, whether or not your loved one had a Last Will & Testament. Not only can this process be complicated and potentially contentious, but it also comes at a very emotional time.

Securing Your Future with Wills, Trusts and Estate Plans

Ensure your hard-earned savings will pass to your loved ones. The last thing you need now is to worry about your Estate and how to take care of your family when you are gone or whether the planning documents you executed properly reflect your wishes.

Some of the common estate planning tools at our disposal include:

  • Simple and complex Last Will & Testaments

  • Advance Directives

  • Durable Powers of Attorney

  • Health Care Proxies

  • Living Wills

Administration of Estates

Probate proceedings, administration proceedings, accountings. Although protecting and preserving your savings is certainly paramount, what is also of importance is putting the appropriate documents in place to ensure one’s health care and financial affairs are properly handled.

Probate issues? Call regarding Wills, Health Care Directives, Living Wills, Power of Attorney, Trusts and Estates. From Filing The Will To Distributing The Assets, We Can Help.

We have decades of experience guiding our clients through the probate process. The steps include:

  • Filing the last will and testament with the Surrogate’s Court

  • Valuing estate assets

  • Notifying beneficiaries under the Last Will & Testament

  • Distributing assets

  • Working with your accountant regarding the preparation and filing of estate tax returns

If your loved one did not have a will, Jordan Yuelys can help your family as well. In these cases, I petition Surrogate’s Court for letters of administration on behalf of the family. That step provides the authority to collect assets and distribute them in adherence with the state laws of “intestacy” (not having a will).

My family and I have been utilizing the service of Jordan for close to 20 years. He has successfully helped us with matters from house closings to my sons' driving indiscretions. My mother had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and was refined to a rehab facility. As fate would have it, there were some last minute legal matters that needed to be addressed. Jordan was kind enough to come to the facility to address these issues with my mother. Upon learning of her passing soon after, Jordan contacted my husband to tell him to get the mail before I did and throw his bill out that his office had recently sent. Really, who does that? I can firmly attest that Jordan is intelligent, professional and compassionate. I would, without hesitation recommend him to anyone in need of legal services.
